I can’t stop thinking about how this breakup is going to effect Mickey. He basically reshaped himself into the boyfriend Ian always wanted. He allowed himself to be vulnerable and show love. He came out. They lived together. They became a family. What will it be like for him to know that he gave 100% of himself and still came of short? That his very best still wasn’t good enough?
You know on some level, he’s never felt like he was good enough for Ian. That he didn’t really deserve this happiness. That this was too good to be true. And now, to his mind, this will prove that he was right all along.
